Welcome to the finish line.
Order Up! is a small game about my feelings towards work, and burnout.
if you take anything away from this, I hope it's a small reminder to smell the roses in life.
Life Credits
I began Coding in February of 2023, and a large portion of my progress as a coder came while I was neglecting my work to some degree.
above everything i need to thank my management Mandy and Shannon for being gracious with me and letting me work towards my dreams, even if it means someday they will have to let me go.
I have to thank my nesting partner Lisa for being understanding as I put my home life on hold as I try to focus on learning and growing as fast as I can. She was also my main coding helper during the period in which i developed my platformer engine from tutorials. A lot of her code wound up in Order up in one form or another , in addition to everything she taught me that allowed me to do this.
her design portfolio can be seen here: https://www.lisadezaki.me/#intro
Additional Credit needs to go to my Other partner Leigh for her writing contributions. almost every line of dialogue came from her, she helped me define my political stance as a communist and every day reminds me to open my heart to people who struggle under capitalism daily. she keeps me honest, she keeps me rational, radical, and kind and i cannot thank her enough.

Amazing work with a beautiful message to alwasy appriciate nice things!
The game is snappy and has you on your toes, just as an overworked robot! Amazing visual look and cohesion both in animation and world. The music and sounds effects are also nicely done!
Glad that you fixed the bug with the minification, sadly one more aries now. Happend to me when I crashed my battery, screen started to fade, robot got stuck in place and then I got the following error:
Amazing job nonetheless!
I have a feeling something something I forgot to update the name of the load file. When your battery dies it's supposed to send you to the menu cart. Thanks for the report I'll fix it. Glad u liked it.
beautiful!!!
I had a great time with how much I was able to play. Looking forward to returning to it after that midnight bug is fixed. I'll be keeping an eye out for any announcement you make when you feel its ready to play again.
Oh, just noticed you made use of the platformer tutorial! =D Appreciate the code credits.
BTW, I was considering choosing this cart too but I didn't feel like I had any good ideas for it. I'm glad to see you brought it to life and you really did it justice. Well done!
you are very sweet. im working on hand minifying things right now. gotta get 18 percent compression
Very great game. It felt so real. The stress and the rushing. Loved the graphics, music and writing as well. Thanks for making this!
I appreciate the feedback. I hope to get it fixed soon. Glad you liked it
cool game and visual style! The delivery mechanic kinda streesed me a bit so I just enjoyed reading and talking to everyone! Hope you can fix the game soon!
that was entirely the point, you played the game correctly. i ran out of time getting the gameplay to accurately portray this. there were plans for a quit the job button that allows you to just talk to people.
